Working together as a community of support
Homes 4 Families - H4F
Our mentoring program partnered with EACH and Anglicare to provide youth mentoring to families facing significant challenges over the COVID-19 period, through the H4F program.
The H4F mentoring program was established to re-engage young people that were facing challenges socially and in their family homes as the result of the gruelling COVID-19 period.
Kawa mentors supported these young people aged 8-17 re-engage in school, develop new skills and hobbies, while opening safe communication channels to talk through mental health struggles.

New Leaf Initiative
Youth Justice Mentoring
The Fresh Start Initiative is a comprehensive program designed to help young people reintegrate into their communities after being involved in corrections environments.
At the heart of our initiative are carefully selected mentors who have guided young people through the complex practical and social challenges of family and social reintegration.
Our goal is to support these individuals in reconnecting with family, community and to be successful in building purpose-filled lives.
NDIS Mentoring
Kawa has specialised its mentoring program to support National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants in navigating their journey towards greater independence and well-being.
Our program has paired participants with experienced mentors who provide personalised guidance, support, and encouragement in achieving their NDIS goals.
Our key objectives are to progress in skill development, goal achievement, resource navigation and personal empowerment. This is where mentors worked through skills such as financial management, communication skills, emotional regulation, and self-care while creating positive experiences in the community.
