Mentoring Package Funding
& Commencement
Our Youth Mentoring is a prepaid program designed to deliver consistency and sustainability over its planned duration. The program delivers an initial Consultation & Goal Planning Meeting to outline and highlight the goals, needs and desired outcomes.
1. Consultation & Goal Planning Meeting
This meeting plays a key role in shaping a personalised Mentoring Plan and Quote that reflect the specific needs and goals of the mentee. As part of the plan, we will recommend a suitable number of face-to-face mentoring hours, along with suggested activity and transport costs to help the mentee get the most out of the program.
2. Program Quote
A tailored quote will be developed to bring the mentoring program plan to life. The quote will cover all essential components of the package ensuring a clear and complete picture of what’s included in your personalised mentoring journey, structured across three key cost categories:
Face-to-Face Mentoring Hours:
To build and maintain a strong, trusted connection between mentor and mentee, we require a minimum of 6 hours of mentoring per fortnight. Consistent engagement is at the heart of our program—it’s how genuine relationships are formed, trust is built, and real growth happens.
Food & Activity Allocation:

Each mentoring session is tailored to the mentee’s unique interests and goals, encouraging growth through fun, engaging activities. Whether it's sharing breakfast at a local café, attending a live AFL match for the first time, or spending a relaxing day fishing - mentees are encouraged to try something new and fun!
Our goal is to create lasting positive memories and open doors to new hobbies and interests that mentees might not otherwise experience. Through these enriching moments, we aim to build confidence, resilience, and independence in everyday life.​
Travel Inclusions:

Travel funding is essential to ensure mentees can access a diverse range of meaningful experiences that support their personal growth and development. The inclusions of transport costs, allows us to remove geographic and financial barriers, enabling mentees to fully engage in the program, explore new environments, and build confidence through real-world experiences.

3. Service Agreement & Program Invoice
​Once the quote is approved, a service agreement and program invoice will be prepared. To ensure we can deliver the full mentoring plan effectively and consistently, we kindly ask that the amount be settled before the program begins.
4. Program Commencement
​
The mentoring program is all set to kick off! We’ll be in touch to lock in your first session and make sure everything’s ready for a smooth and exciting start.

"How is the mentoring quote developed?"
After the Consultation & Goal Planning Meeting, a personalised quote is created based on the mentee’s goals. This includes recommended mentoring hours, food and activity budgets, estimated travel, and any other resources required for the program’s success.
"Are NDIS participants eligible to use their funding?"
Yes, Kawa Care's services are designed to align with NDIS funding categories. Participants should confirm with their plan manager or support coordinator to ensure the mentoring program fits within their individual plan goals and budget.

"Why is prepayment required before the program starts?"
Prepayment ensures that all resources are secured and scheduled to deliver a consistent and high-quality mentoring experience. It also enables Kawa Care to plan activities and staffing reliably over the program duration.
"Can mentoring sessions be customised?"
Absolutely. Sessions are tailored around each mentee’s interests, goals, and support needs. Whether it’s outdoor adventures, social skill-building, or confidence-boosting activities, each plan is unique.

"What happens if I need to adjust the program after it starts?"
Minor adjustments may be discussed with your program coordinator. However, any changes affecting the quote or service agreement may require an updated plan and invoice.
"How long does the program go for?"
You can choose a mentoring journey that lasts 3, 6, or 12 months. You and your mentor will meet regularly once or twice a week, based on the plan you agree on together. Each session is designed to be supportive, productive, and enjoyable!
